A 62-year-old woman lost her gold necklace to a pickpocket along Tomas Claudio St, last Monday.

Police identified the victim as Glosia Cerillo Y Horton, widow, and a resident of Barangay Mercedes.

In her complaint to the police, Cerillo said she and her niece were walking along Tomas Claudio St. near Saint Joseph church  around 12:30 p.m. when a man snatched her gold necklace and ran away.

A certain Rodel Luyao Y Naseda, 30, of Olutanga was conducted to the central police station for investigation after he was linked to the snatching.

Police said the stolen item was not recovered from Luyao’s possession. — Gina Fernando
