A suspected shabu pusher and a female minor were arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation at Purok 5, Recodo last Thursday night.

OIC-City Police Director Sr. Supt. Jose Chiquito Malayo identified those arrested as Majid Abubakar y Sali, 45, and a 16-year-old girl. They were arrested by men of the City Police Office’s Anti-illegal Special Operation Task Force, Ancar and Ayala Police Station.

The duo sold a sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer in the amount of P500. After  marked money and the shabu changed hands, a police team cornered and arrested the suspects.

When frisked, police recovered two more medium size of sachet containing suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia from the suspects’ possession.

A certain Basil Hamja eluded arrest during the same buy-bust operation.

Police said that Abubakar was the “runner” and the shabu was being sold by the teenager.

The suspects were detained at the central police station while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. – Dan Toribio Jr.
