An engineer and two others were killed while a minor was wounded in two fresh gun attacks in Vitali and Lumbangan last Friday night.

The fatalities were identified as Engr. Felipe Nepomoceno, Romel Dayrit, both employees of the Atro Mining and Wilfredo Prieto y Francisco, 58, married, of Lumbangan. Wounded was Jaypee Joven, 16, of Vitali.

A police report disclosed that Nepomoceno and Dayrit were eating supper at a fastfood joint at Sitio Mialim, Vitali when a gunman appeared aboard a motorcycle and opened fire on them around 8 p.m.

Police said the gunman had alighted from the motorcycle before he shot the two who were sitting in a corner while taking their supper.

Joven was also hit in the foot by a stray bullet and was taken to the Vitali Lying-in Clinic for treatment.

The gunman then escaped aboard his motorcycle.

Meanwhile, Prieto was shot to death by Wilfrido Sabillano y Frenandez, 59, a barangay kagawad of Lumbangan around 7:30 p.m.

Initial investigation showed that Prieto was talking with Alfredo Ocampo y Wee Sit at the store of the latter when Sabillano appeared and shot him twice.

Prieto sustained two gunshot wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Police said that Sabillano escaped after the incident.
