Mayor Beng Climaco made her way to the farthest barangay in the City’s west coast yesterday, June 17, to join the faculty, staff and students of the Ramon Enriquez High School (formerly Labuan National High School) as they celebrated more than four decades of learning and transforming lives.

Together with local education officials, Climaco graced the festivities and led the induction of the school’s new set of GPTA officers which marked the culmination of the school’s 3-day celebration of its 46th Foundation Day Anniversary.

In her brief message, Climaco encouraged the students to anticipate and claim a brighter future, molded as they are under the tutelage of their teachers.

She likewise expressed her gratitude to the barangay for their unwavering support, adding that she holds Labuan close to her heart.

This was Climaco’s first visit to the barangay in her official capacity as Mayor since her assumption last June 30.

Present during the celebration were City Schools OIC Superintendent Pedro Melchor Natividad, REHS Principal Anna Bella Espinosa and Division Coordinator Janet N. Recamara. — Jasmine Mohammadsali
