Task Force Zamboanga chief Col. Andreilino Colina has expressed confidence that his soldiers are capable to help the police improve the peace and order in Zamboanga City.

In an interview, Colina said his forces are on proactive stance to prevent violence and criminalities in their areas of responsibility.

Asked if there are present threats from terrorist or lawless groups , Colina said “with or without threats” his soldiers remain on alert and on proactive position “to prevent anything that would disturb the peace and order in the city.”

He added that after visiting TFZ troops in island barangays, he found out that his men are capable of serving the public in close coordination with the police.

Colina said his forces are also involved in the campaign against loose firearms and will not hesitate to arrest anybody caught carrying undocumented firearms in TFZ checkpoints .

Moreover, Colina bared that they are equipped with radio transceiver channeled in the police frequency for them to monitor crimes respond to it immediately.

TFZ  forces have strengthened security measures in some parts of Sacol Island which are used as jump-off point bykidnappers and terrorists. —  Dan Toribio Jr.
