A seaweeds farmer was shot to death in another gun violence at Zone 1, Taluksangay last Sunday night.

Slain was Ali Akbar Abdurasa y Pawadji, 35, married, a native of Surabay, Zamboanga Sibugay. He sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Initial investigation showed that Abdurasa was walking on his way home at Zone 1 coming from the mosque when two gunmen appeared and shot him several times around 8:45 p.m.

The assailants disappeared after the incident.

Recovered at the crime scene were nine spent shells of .45 caliber pistol. The body was claimed by the victim’s relatives for burial service.
