Ex-CAFGU in robbery-slay case nabbed PDF Print E-mail

Intelligence operatives of the Tetuan police station arrested yesterday at the Guiwan bus terminal a man wanted for robbery and homicide.

Chief Insp. Elmer Acuna, Tetuan Police Station-6 chief, identified the man arrested as AJari Jalani y Sapat a.k.a Alkari Jalani y Antay 23, single, an ex-CAFGU based in Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte.  Confiscated from his possession was a Cherry mobile cellular phone and several identification cards.

On Friday, last week, around 3:14 p.m., a robbery-holdup took place in Barangay Balubuan, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte, in which Joy Estrada, a Coca-Cola salesman, and his delivery truck driver Conrado Ricohermoso were shot to death by gunmen. The truckman identified as Al Lumonah y Adante was seriously wounded and admitted at the Zamboanga City Medical Center.

Jalani admitted to the police his participation in the robbery-slay and identified his two companions as Junie Utoh and Jaime Utoh as the two masterminds.
