Mayor Beng Climaco led a group of soldiers through a session on stress management during the Combat Stress Management Training at the WESMINCOM Conference Room Tuesday, June 23.

The Mayor’s talk revolved around stress and the ways in which the soldiers can deal with the tensions brought about the rigors and uncertainties of military life.

“Gusto po naming makatulong sa army,” said Climaco as she coaxed the participants to share their thoughts and experiences in dealing with their anxieties.

Serving as session lecturer and facilitator, Climaco also led the soldiers through a series of anti-stress exercises and shared her tips on managing stress which included having a positive outlook in life, lots of laughter, a “can do” attitude and prayer.

The training was organized by the Camp Navarro General Hospital, led by Dr. Lolina Bajin. Present during the training were participants from different military units and commands, including the special operations group, the navy and the Balikatan. — Jasmine Mohammadsali
