Operatives of the Tetuan police station led by Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña have arrested two men who held-up a 34-year-businessman.

Police identified those arrested as Joelito Into y Macapili, 42, of La Paz and Dexter Sotto of Putik.

Into and Sotto were tagged as the men who robbed P50,000 and US$500 from Stanley Tan, 34, of Veterans Avenue last July 25 around 10:30 a.m. along Falcatan St., Tetuan.

Two days after the incident, still on hot pursuit operations, Acuña’s men proceeded to Madrazo Drive, Don Toribio Street, Tetuan where they arrested Into.

When inspected, policemen recovered a small size sachet of shabu from Into’s possession.

The following day around 10:45 p.m., Sotto was turned over to the police by his father and Putik Barangay Chairman Jerry Perez.

Sotto also turned over some of the loot to the police.

The recovered loot consist of a black wallet with P1,000 bills, ten P500 bills, nine P100 bills, US dollar bills and other pertinent papers all belonged to Tan.

The suspects were detained at the Tetuan Police Station pending the filing of charges against them in court. – Dan Toribio Jr.
