Alsons power plant project in Sarangani underway PDF Print E-mail

The Sarangani Energy Corps.’ SM 200 Power Plant- Phase I project is now underway in Barangay Kamanga, Maasim, Sarangani province.

The power plant is owned by the Alcantara Group of Companies and similar to the San Ramon Power Inc. in Barangay Talisayan, Zamboanga City.

The construction of the power plant is being undertaken by the DAELIM Industrial  Company Ltd., a global plant builder.    The realization of the power plant coincides with the centennial year of Conrado Alcantara, patriarch of the Alsons Group of companies.

Barangay Kamanga is also the site of the Kamanga Agro-Indistrial Ecozone Development Corp. under Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

Once completed, the plant can supply power to Sarangani,  Gen. Santos City,  South Cotabato and other cities and provinces of Mindanao.

The ongoing project spawned job opportunities as it needs heavy equipment operators, roller compact operator, dump truck operator, water trunk operator, back hoe operator, bulldozer operator, loader and grader operators, boom trunk operator and trailer operator. — Allen Abastillas
