The water system is the first biggest funded project supported by the Rotary Foundation and the USAIDPhilippine Water Revolving Fund Support Program. The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City West was the main proponent of the project with ZCWD as its implementing agency. The water system was inaugurated on October 08, 2010.

Aside from this Php21M water system project, the office has finally started the rehabilitation of the Talon-talon pipelines. The project costing Php6.8M is one of the major commitments of ZCWD as presented during the public hearing on water rate hike in May 2009.  (mdcg.msd)
