Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde has formally offered his services for free to Zamboanga City Water District in detecting potable water sources anywhere in the city.

In a letter dated August 5 addressed to ZCWD Board Chairman Nelida Fernandez-Atilano, Iturralde offered to share his skill with said water  firm in locating water sources, “with the end in view of helping  our people satisfy their needs for water”.

The vice mayor said detecting potable water nowadays has become easy and expense-free using a better technique known as “water diviner”.

“Through this technique, an underground fresh/potable water source can be accurately located,” Iturralde revealed.

He said that the about to be functioning P300,000 worth of new water project in Barangay Mercedes is just an example of his successful detection of good water source, using the diviner’s technique.

Iturralde also enumerated other potable water sources that he detected in the past in the barangays of Vitali, Mampang and Talon-Talon and in his own residence.

The vice mayor believes that availing of his free services, would stop ZCWD’s from spending costly, “just to locate for potable water sources in Zamboanga, and sometimes, outside of Zamboanga City”. — Philip Abuy
