A policeman, tagged as suspect in the killing and beheading of a man in Stanvac, Campo Islam, the other night was arrested during a hot pursuit operation yesterday morning.

Nabbed was PO1 Al-Fraizer Kiram Amilasan of the Police Regional Office 4A in Cavite City. He was linked to the killing and beheading of Alraben Jallao y Lutian, whose decapitated head is still missing.

Amilasan was arrested by men of the City Police Office, Special Action Force, Task Force Zamboanga and 12DRC led by OIC City Police Director Sr. Supt. Jose Chiquito Malayo around 8:45 a.m.

The suspect was nabbed at the residence of a police official in Stanvac, Campo Islam.

Recovered from his possession was an M16 rifle with 11 long and two short magazines loaded with ammunition and a barong blade with scabbard.

Amilasan was detained at the central police station while the rifle and the blade weapon were submitted to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.

It was gathered that during the investigation, police found out that before Jallao was brutally killed, Amilasan had informed soldiers manning a detachment in Campo Islam that they will have an operation in the area.

Later on, residents and soldiers heard gunfire but they did not react thinking it was a legitimate police operation.

Moments later, Jallao’s headless body was found in a dimly lit corner.

Amilasan was detained at the central police station pending an inquest at the city prosecutor office. – Dan Toribio Jr.
