HPG-9 recovers stolen motorbike PDF Print E-mail

Highway Patrol Group 9 operatives seized a stolen Suzuki FU 150 motorcycle at the Zamboanga City wharf last  Monday night.

Supt. Severino B. Agustin, HPG 9 chief, disclosed that his men composed of Insp. Mervin S. Claret, SPO1 Wilfredo P. Ator and PO1 Elvin Baes, while conducting a routinary check at the Zamboanga City wharf Monday, spotted the blue Suzuki FU 150 motorcycle parked in a corner, apparently ready for shipment through a commercial vessel bound for Jolo Sulu.

The motorcycle’s plate number is 9540 WQ. When verified with at the Vehicle Information Management System (VIMS) which is linked to the website  of Highway Patrol Group, it was discovered that it was on hold-order status and it was stolen while parked in Manila on  July 18, 2013. The said motorcycle is owned by a certain Aying of Malabon City.

During the operation, the team asked the people in the vicinity of the wharf who owns the motorcycle. But no one came forward to claim ownership.

Agustin directed the team to impound the motorcycle at Camp Batalla and conduct a macro-etching examination at the Regional Crime Laboratory Office-9 . The team was also directed to conduct a complete  investigation and submit a final report to the HPG National Heaquarters.  The engine number of the motorcycle is G4201D963966 with chassis number BG41D402009.
