A suspected car bomb caused panic and sent police cordoning the vicinity of a shoppingmall in Pagadian City yesterday.

A police report disclosed that security guards of Gaisano noticed a KIA Grand Sportage with plate number YDZ 822 parked at the mall’s parking lot for already two days.

Immediately police bomb experts cordoned the area and conducted a water bomb disruption to determine if there was indeed a bomb inside the  suspicious car.

However after the water bomb disruption was done, police did not find any bomb nor any kind of explosive aboard.

After verifying with the Land Transportation Office, police found out that the car was registered under the name of Emma Avellana Tacson of Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte.

Police also recovered inside the car three official receipts of Mega Home Finishing supply, Jeyco Enterprises and Zambaonga del Norte Electric Cooperative.

Authorities were still trying to contact the owner of the car. — Dan Toribio Jr.
