A businesswoman, who claimed she was abducted in Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte last week, was released by her captors at the Guiwan bus terminal in Zamboanga City last Thursday night.

Viviana Acas y Gamil, 45, married, of Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte and a rubber trader was recovered by policemen at the vicinity of the Guiwan Bus terminal around 7:30 p.m.

Acas told the police that her abductors brought her to Guiwan aboard a Nissan Frontier pick-up truck and later dropped her at the bus terminal.

The pickup truck then sped towards the east coast, while Acas approached the policemen detailed at the terminal to seek assistance.

Acas was brought to the Tetuan Police Station and was later taken to the City Police Office for debriefing.

Yesterday morning, Acas was fetched by her relatives who brought her back to Tampilisan.

During investigation, Acas claimed that she was aboard a bus heading for Liloy from Tampilisan last August 2, 2013, carrying P37,000 in cash when two men and a gay approached and poked a handgun at her. She was told not to do anything to alarm the people aboard the bus.

Acas said they alighted the bus, then boarded a service vehicle that proceeded to Ipil then later to Zamboanga City.

Acas said they went to several places here in the city where she was kept for one week.

Finally, she said, they put her aboard the Nissan Frontier and brought her to the Guiwan Bus Terminal.

Acas added that her captors took her P37,000 during her captivity.

Moreover she claimed that the abductors were forced to release her after they were pressured by policemen in Zamboanga del Norte.
