Intelligence operatives of the Divisoria Police Station under Supt. Haywien Salvado arrested a suspected drug pusher in Barangay Putik at dawn yesterday.

Arrested was Romel Perez y Tayco, 34, married, of Putik.

A police report disclosed that a police poseur buyer ordered from Perez a sachet of shabu worth P200.

When Perez handed the shabu to the police poseur buyer in exchange of P200 marked money a police back-up team cornered and arrested Perez.

After the police recovered the P200 marked money from Perez’ possession, he was inspected and yielded three more sachets of shabu.

Perez was detained at the Divisoria Police Station while the confiscated items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.

Salvado and his men have readied charges against Perez for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165. —  Dan Toribio Jr.
