A team from Zamcelco's Institutional Services Department (ISD) will be at the Sangali Sub-Office today and tomorrow to distribute in exchange for the incandescent bulbs, Compact Florescent Lamps (CFL).

The team will be servicing those who have the desire to exchange their incandescent bulbs for Compact Florescent Lamps.

Unlike incandescent bulbs which give out more heat than light and which eat up extra energy, CFLs are cooler and draw very little power which greatly help reduce consumer bills to the minimum. CFL distribution in exchange for incandescent bulbs is a drive initiated by the Department of Energy whose primary purpose is to let users of electricity save on their electric bills while in the same vein help conserve energy with a plus factor. It also contributes to environmental preservation because CFLs are environment friendly.

Last month, ISD revealed that it has distributed close to 40,000 CFLs in exchange for incandescent bulbs.  As of this writing, perhaps, it has reached the 50,000 mark of CFLs distributed out of the more than 100,000 CFLs DOE sent to Zamcelco.

To be able to barter your incandescent bulbs for CFLs bring your July 2010 bill receipts.

The number of CFLs you can get in exchange for your incandescent lamps is six.

Meanwhile, the ISD CFL distributing team is also scheduled to be at the San Jose Gusu Sub-Station Office on October 26 and 27 to serve member-consumers in the area.
