A teenage girl was killed while her younger sister survived in a gun attack in their residence at Duston Drive, Sta. Catalina last Tuesday night.

The fatality was identified as Jemelyn Pulalon y Ablin. Her sister, Farsalin Pulalon, 7, managed to run and escaped unhurt.

Jemeyln sustained a bullet wound in the chest and was rushed to the Zamboanga Doctors Hospital where she expired while undergoing treatment.

A police report disclosed that Pulalon was cleaning her bedroom while Farsalin was playing outside the house around 7 p.m. when two men wearing bonnets arrived and broke into house and one of them shot her at close range.

The gunmen went out of the house and pointed their guns on Farsalin and told her to keep quiet. Terrified, Farsalin ran away while the killers left the place aboard a motorcycle.
The victim was taken to the hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.

Recovered at the crime scene were one spent shell and a deformed slug of .45 caliber pistol.
