Sr. Insp. Raymond D. Sanson, chief of the Zamboanga City Police Office’s Anti-Carnapping Unit, on Thursday turned over to Supt. Severino B. Agustin, Highway Patrol Group 9 chief, a stolen motorcycle the police recovered recently in Tugbungan.

The recovered stolen motorcycle is a Red-Black Honda XRM 125 cc having no plate, with engine number XRM16E032324 and chassis number XRM16032319 registered under the name of G. C. Labajo of Pagadian City.

HPG-9 case investigator SPO1 Wilfredo P. Ator disclosed that under Standard Operating Proceidure 2011-004  all stolen and recovered/impounded motorvehicles, should be turned over to the HPG.

Ator said the ZCPO  Anti-Carnapping Unit submitted a report to HPG-9 during the turnover showing that the motorcycle was stolen in Pagadian City and registered under police blotter entry number  0030, Page Number 0007  dated July 21,2913.

The ZCPO Anti-Carnapping Unit also furnished a report to HPG-9 revealing that men of Sr. Insp. Sanson spotted the motorcycle along Veterans Avenue. They chased the motorcycle that was going to Tugbungan. The driver, sensing that policemen were tailing him, abandoned it at Purok II, Tugbungan on July 24, 2013. The driver escaped and eluded police arrest. — Allen Abastillas
