Men of the Ayala Police Station led by Sr. Insp. Edilberto Alvarez arrested a suspected shabu pusher in a buy-bust operation carried out at Purok 5, Recodo at dawn last Sunday.

Arrested was Kerpolito Tanghap, 55, married. His son-in-law Benjamin Lao eluded arrest.

The buy-bust operation took place after Tanghap agreed to sell to a police poseur buyer shabu worth P300.

The police poseur buyer met Tanghap around 3 a.m. for the drug transaction.

Tanghap was cornered by a police back-up team after he handed a sachet of shabu to the poseur buyer in exchange of P300 marked money.

Lao escaped after he sensed it was a buy-bust operation.

During inspection, police found another sachet of shabu from Tanghap’s possession. — Dan Toribio Jr.
