A total of 33 houses were razed in a fire that broke out at a densely populated barangay in Isabela City last Sunday night.

Isabela City Fire Marshall Insp. Dionisio Cayudong disclosed that the conflagration started at the house of the Mohammad family around 8 p.m.at Zone 2, Barangay Kampurnah. It quickly spread to neighboring houses.

The fire got out of control because firemen experienced difficulties in penetrating the interior because of the narrow paths therein.

The blaze raged for two hours.

Based on records of the Isabela City Social Welfare and Development, a total of 90 families were affected by the conflagration. They were given temporary shelter at a school in the barangay.

No one was hurt in the fire.
