HPG-9 recovers suspected stolen Honda XRM bike PDF Print E-mail

An alleged stolen motorcycle was recovered by operatives of the Highway Patrol Group-9 Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Unit from the house of a suspected thief in Barangay  Mibang, Sta. Felomena, Dipolog City last August 21.

The motorcycle is described as Honda XRM with Plate No. 8316 JK color Silver Black with engine number XRM17002460 and chassis number XRM17002460.

Sr Insp. Leopoldo  Macalindol, ZDNPU chief, in his report to Supt. Severino B. Agustin, HPG-9 chief, said that the motorcycle was reported lost at the Dipolog City Police Station on July 25, 2013. The case was entered in the official police blotter on Page 245 with entry number 1650. The complainant was Ian Edil Manaba, a resident of Talisay, Dapitan City and a representative of a motorcycle dealer and seller. Manaba went to HPG-9 ZDNPU office and also filed a complaint.

Acting on Manaba’s complaint, Macalindol and his men accompanied the representative of the motorcycle dealer proceeded to the house of the suspect in Barangay Mibang around 3:45 p.m. on August 21.

During investigation, it was found out that holder of the motorcycle was not able to pay his monthly installment to the motorcycle dealer and did not appear to to make any promissory reason for his delay in payment. After the investigation, the holder and the representive made a settlement and agreement to return the motorcycle. —  Allen Abastillas
