Fabian re-appointed to CAA oversight committee PDF Print E-mail

House Speaker Feliciano R. Belmonte Jr. has re-appointed District 2 Congressman Erbie A. Fabian to the Congressional Oversight Committee on the Civil Aviation Authority.

In a communiqué  sent to Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile dated September 21, 2010, Speaker Belmonte designted Rep. Fabian as member of the fiver-member house contingent to the oversight body.

Fabian joins colleagues Reps. Roger Mercado, Eleandro Jesus Madrona, Cesar Sarmiento and Arturo Radaza.

The Civil Aviation Authority is mandated to oversee the aviation industry.

Rep. Fabian was also a member of the same oversight committee during the last congress.

He became part of the oversight body by virtue of his chairmanship of the Committee on Government Reorganization which crafted the bill creating the Civil Aviation Authority.

Speaker Belmonte’s appointment of Fabian was pursuant to Republic Act. No. 9497 naming members of a house contingent to the oversight body.

The senate is likewise mandated to name a counterpart contingent to the Oversight committee.

Upon receipt of the appointment, Fabian vowed to work hard in developing and uplifting the progressive aviation industry of the country.

The 2nd district solon also took time to express his gratitude to Speaker Belmonte for his trust and confidence in naming his to the oversight committee.

Fabian is a senior member of the Lower House who has been named to important congressional committees and house delegations.
