Suspect in bizman’s murder in Palawan nabbed in Zambo PDF Print E-mail

A man wanted for the murder of a Palawan businessman was arrested at a finger wharf in Baliwasan last Wednesday afternoon.

Nabbed was Francis Samputan alias Toto, a fisherman. Police recovered a sachet of shabu from his possession.

Samputan was arrested by men of the Investigation Section led by Sr. Insp. Arlan Delumpines.

A police report disclosed that Delumpines had received an information that Samputan who is wanted in Palawan for the murder of a prominent businessman was spotted aboard a fishing boat anchored at the Baliwasan finger wharf.

Delumpines received a copy of the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Bienvenido Blangcaflor of the Regional Trial Court Branch 95 in Puerto Princesa City on April 15, 2013.

Delumpines and his men rushed to the Baliwasan wharf and caught Samputan aboard a fishing boat.

When inspected,  Delumpines and his men found a sachet of shabu from Samputan’s pocket.

Samputan was one of the prime suspects in the killing of Jose Tan Paredes Jr. a prominent businessman in Palawan on April 15.

Delumpines and his men have prepared another case against Samputan for violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165. — Dan Toribio Jr.
