Bus dispatcher, electrician hurt in gun attack PDF Print E-mail

A part-time bus dispatcher and an electrician were shot and wounded yesterday morning along Guiwan Highway.

The victims were identified as Rowan Sarao y Climaco, 23, bus dispatcher of Callejon, Guiwan and Alberto Rubin y Alibre, 46, an electrician of Talon-Talon.

Sarao sustained three gunshot wounds in the body while Rubin was hit by a stray bullet on the right shoulder.

Initial investigation disclosed that Sarao was sitting outside and Rubin inside Richard Store when two men riding tandem on a motorcycle appeared and stopped. The backrider suddenly pulled out a handgun and shot Sarao several times. The gunmen then sped away eastward while the victims were taken to the hospital.

The Tetuan police were still gathering information for the possible identification of the attackers.
City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo immediately ordered his men to exhaust all means to arrest the gunmen. — Dan Toribio Jr.
