Vaño to PNP troopers: Main posture of alert, readiness PDF Print E-mail

Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Juanito B. Vaño Jr has directed all police ground commanders and troopers in the Sta. Catalina-Rio Hondo-Sta. Barbara battlefront to maintain posture of alert and readiness in fighting the MNLF forces  in in coordination with the military forces.

PRO9 Public Information Officer Chief Insp. Ariel Huesca Jr., concurrently Chief of Firearms and Explosive Security Agency Guard Section (FESAGS), said that Chief Supt. Vaño has also ordered all police troopers manning checkpoints in the different areas in the region to be vigilant and alert at all cost while checking motorvehicles and people passing the area.

“They must maintain utmost courtesy and respect in dealing with the people. The situation in the region is manageable,” Huesca said.

He said that PRO-9 has declared full alert since Day 1of the crisis in Zamboanga City.

In his letter of instruction,  Vaño directed all police directors from provincial down to the municipal level to maximize the deployment of troopers and to continue coordinating with the local government units in their areas of jurisdiction as well as other government forces. — Allen Abastillas
