Atty. Jose Rizalino Ortega was declared yesterday as the new president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Zamboanga Basilan Sulu Tawi-Tawi (Zambasulta) Chapter during an election at the Celebrity Hall, Grand Astoria Hotel

City Prosecutor Alfredo Jimenez Jr., chairman of the Committee on Election, disclosed that the election started at 10:00 a.m.and ended at 2:00 p.m.  Atty. Ortega will have a two-year term from 2011 to 2013 together with other officers.

Members of the Committee on Election were Prosecutor Nicholas Apolinario and Atty. Muiz-za Ellang.
Other officers elected were Atty. Narvaro Belar Navarro, vice president; Atty. Ray Bongabong, secretary; Atty. Maria Corazon Montemor, treasurer;  Atty. Agripina Aragones, auditor, and Atty. Giovanni Luistro, public information officer.

Board of Directors are composed of Atty. Eduardo Sanson, Atty. Arnulfo Manigos, Atty. Satrina Mohammad-Gaddong, Retired Judge Ernesto Guiterrez and Atty. Gian Paulo Enriquez.
Former President Florencio Liong Jr. will become an ex-officio Board Member.

Former President Atty. Quirino Esguerra Jr. said there will be a national convention of lawyers in Subic Bay from April 5 to 9.
