ZCCIFI vies for 3rd prestigious award PDF Print E-mail

The Zamboanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Foundation,Inc. (ZCCIFI), recipient of two prestigious awards in 2011 and 2012, is vying to receive another similar award this year.

ZCCIFI was awarded “Most Outstanding Chamber in Asia and the Pacific in 2012” with awarding held in Kathmandu, Nepal. Then it was awarded “Most Outstanding Chamber in the Philippines for 2011 and 2012 during an awarding rite held at  the Manila Hotel during the Philippine Business Conference with no less President Aquino as guest of honor.

Now the Chamber under the leadership of President Pedro Rufo “Pocholo” N. Soliven is seeking for the Most Oustanding Chamber Award in the Philippines 2013.

ZCCIFI is the respected voice of business not only in Zamboanga City or Mindanao, but in the entire country. It is vying for a third award in a row on its way for a grand slam and  hall of fame.

Soliven was in Manila last October 2 at the PCCI Headquarters in Mckinley Hills for the final presentation  to the board the different projects as well as relevant advocacies that the chamber championed which benefited not only the business community but the entire City of Zamboanga.

The criteria for judging chaired by PCCI Chair Sergio Luis Ortiz are set stringently on Leadership and Dynamism, relevant advocacies that directly benefited the entire business community and not only its members, its awards and commendations.

To recall, Soliven as President of ZCCIFI, is the concurrent Co- Chair for the Regional Competitiveness Council for Private Sector, Private sector representative of ZC to the Regional Development Council IX, Advisor to PNP Region !X, Member of the Z. C.  Peace and Order, City Disaster  Risk Reduction Management Committee and Crisis Management Committee. Early this year during the City Charter Day Celebration, ZCCIFI was awarded the Premiar Award for Investment and Promotions.  — ZCCIFi Media Bureau
