Carnapped in CDO, Toyota Hi-Lux recovered in Zambo by HPG-9 men PDF Print E-mail

A Toyota Hi-Lux that was carnapped in Cagayan de Oro City was recovered in Zamboanga City by Highway Patrol Group-9 operatives led by Insp. Mervin  S. Claret  last Saturday.

Supt. Severino  B. Agustin, HPG-9 chief, the vehicle recovered  around 3:30 p.m. along Nuñez  Extension is a black 2005 model Toyota Hilux with plate number KCZ 752., engine number  2KD-9294459  and chassis number is MROES19G1- 04000069.

It was recovered under the possession of a certain BS Bernardo of Barangay Putik .

Bernardo told the HPG-9 operatives that he bought the Hi-Lux from another person. He voluntarily surrendered the documents of the SUV when he was informed by the HPG-9 operatives that the Hi-Lux he was driving is stolen vehicle.

Bernardo was informed by the law enforcers that the Toyota Hi-lux is a subject of a carnapping case filed by the owner  against the suspect, a  certain SM Aranas, with the Regional Trial  Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 21 Court of Misamis Oriental under Criminal Case No. 2012-1200.

The Toyota Hi-Lux was carnapped while parked in  front of the residence of the owner in Villa Maria Tablon, Cagayan De  Oro City on June 9, 2012.

After the recovery of the motorvehicle, HPG 9 operatives turned it over to the real owner at the Zamboanga City Police Office for documentation.
