2 curfew violators yield P10k worth of shabu PDF Print E-mail

Policemen of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company under Supt. William Gadayan confiscated shabu worth P10,000 from two curfew violators along Jaldon St. at dawn yesterday.

Gadayan identified the suspects as Rolan Lacanarez y Atilano, 34, of San Roque and Regee Gregorio y Celso, 26, of Guiwan.

Gadayan said that aside from a sachet of shabu, they also recovered drug paraphernalia from Lacanarez and Gregorio.

Investigation showed that the police were manning check point as part of the curfew policy around 1 a.m. when they intercepted Lacanarez and Gregorio and seized from their possession the prohibited drug and paraphernalia.

The suspects were detained at the city police office while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.

Aside from Lacanarez and Gregorio, Gadayan and his men also apprehended 14 others curfew violators. They were identified as Raphael Apostol y Curit, Sherwin Alavar y Francisco, Mark Nicole Sinangon y Delso Reyes, Michael Angelo Bayot y Santos, Abdan Sahiddan y Rusiana, Hur Harris y Ulla, 31, Rog Reyes y Natallo, Jerby Canoy y NUma, Risbert Rojas y Vaflor, Longeno Magsayo y Baquiller, Jessie Laraga, Raymart Canoy, Ramil Lambay and Macky Argonzola.

All violators were turned over to the central police station for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, men of the Labuan Police Station led by Sr. Insp. Chester Natividad arrested Leonardo Eyana Diniay, 41, married, for possession a sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia last Wednesday afternoon.

Natividad’s men were conducting mobile patrol around 5 p.m. when Diniay tried to avoid them.
