Six evacuees probed for robbery at Comelec office in JFE complex PDF Print E-mail

The fingerprints of six evacuees from Rio Hondo were taken by police investigators in connection with a robbery that took place at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Joaquin Enriquez Sports Complex last Thursday.

A police report disclosed that Allan Corpus, 42, married, and a Comelec employee reported to the police that around 9 a.m. he noticed the storage room was already being occupied by evacuees from Rio Hondo.

Corpus said he also found out that the door lock grill was also destroyed.

During ocular investigation, police found out several pertinent and confidential documents already worn out.

The rvacuees caught staying inside the Comelec office were identified as Abdul Ataolla, 57, Nursida Majid, 39, Amina Haiber, 49, Nerma Dabbang, 54, Insih Ruaina, 53, and Arsaima Ablayan, 27. They underwent fingerprint proceidure and their mug shots were taken before they were released.

Police were still investigating the case while men of the PNP’s crime laboratory were still comparing the fingerprints lifted at the robbery site with of those of the six evacuees. – Dan Toribio Jr.
