Two suspected shabu pushers were arrested in two separate operations in Canelar last Saturday.

Arrested were Jose Sontillanosa alias Tisoy, 23, of Sunflower Drive, Canelar and Jayvie Baustista alias Orong, 33, of Tumaga.

Sontillanosa and Bautista were nabbed during buy-bust operations by men of the Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force led by Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon.

Sontillanosa was arrested around 5:30 p.m. in Sunflower Drive after marked money and a shabu pack changed hands.

A police report disclosed that Sontillanosa was held by the police after he received P200 marked money from an police undercover agent in exchange of  a shabu pack.

During inspection, police recovered two more sachets of shabu, two pairs of scissors, two rounds of 12 gauge shotgun ammuniton and one bullet for .38 caliber revolver from Sontillanosa’s possession.

Bautista was nabbed around 8 p.m. at Room 9 of Diamond Motel in Canelar Moret.

Confiscated from his possession was a medium sachet of shabu worth P1,000 and three strips of aluminum foil.

Both suspects were detained at the city police office while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examinations. – Dan Toribio Jr.
