The Fraternal Order of Eagles (Philippine Eagles) holds today "Peace Caravan 2013" and humanitarian mission for victims of the Zamboanga siege sheltering in different evacuation centers

Zamboanga City Central Eagles Club (ZCCEC) President Pierre Adrian Macapil said a total of 7,924 and more individual relief packs (brand new) consisting of apparels, sanitary kits, food and other personal necessities will be distributed to different evacuation centers in the city which include Sta. Maria, Baliwasan, Pasonanca and Tetuan.

Fraternal Order of Eagles National President Salvador Ramos will visit Zamboanga.

Ramos is expected to pay a courtesy visit on Mayor Beng Climaco and will formally lead the humanitarian mission together with regional and local officers of the club.

Highlighting the occasion is a ‘Peace Concert’ which will be held at the Covered Court of Tetuan Elementary School which will start at 7 p.m.

“This is part of our guiding principles which is ‘service through strong brotherhood’ as we respond to the most depressed and needy areas,” Macapil said.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles which is the first Philippine-born fraternal socio-civic organization in the country is rendering various community and humanitarian services which include the victims of Bagyong Sendong in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City and of Bagyong Pablo in Compostela Valley and other man-made and natural calamities nationwide. -- MLF
