Two persons were wounded, while another escaped unhurt in three separate gun attacks in Boalan, Tetuan and along Veterans Avenue recently.

Rodel Juan y Cañedo, 32, married, of Boalan, was shot with an improvised gun called “boga”  by Kenneth Perez, married, last Saturday night.

Juan sustained an injury in the body and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

A police report disclosed that Juan and his brother Ariel had gone to the house of Tito Perez, father of Kenneth, last September 6, where they ran berserk and broke the window glass of the house.

The incident was referred to the barangay government of Zambowood and during a confrontation, Ariel paid P6,000 as part of their settlement.However Rodel failed to do so.

Last Saturday night, Kenneth saw Rodel and without much ado shot him with a boga.

Kenneth escaped after the incident, police said.

Rodel has a standing warrant of arrest for attempted murder and was placed under arrest while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, James Alfred Pardo, a student of Ateneo de Zamboanga University, was shot and seriously wounded by a gunman along Alfaro St., Tetuan. He sustained a bullet wound in the neck and was taken to the hospital.

Police said the gunman took the Pardo’s motorcycle and escaped after the shooting.

Police were looking into motorcycle snatching as the motive of the incident.

At 8 p.m. Sunday, Jul-Jimar Cabato Bakil, 20, of Sta. Barbara was shot by a certain Nok-Nok Santos. The bullet however missed the target.

Police said that Bakil was walking along Veterans Avenue near John’s Place when Santos appeared and engaged him in a heated argument. Moments later Santos drew a .38 cal. revolver and shot Bakil.
