Voters were eager to cast their ballots yesterday in Tugbungan such that as early as 6:00 in the morning they were trooping to the Tugbungan Elementary School  to exercise their right of suffrage.

Election officers reported the voters did not experience difficulties in looking their names from the voters list in each precinct because the listing was displayed at the multi-purpose covered court.

During the balloting, voters were seated comfortably and chose their candidates without hassle because the polling places were not crowded. Each voter was well attended by the election officers.

The barangay election in Zamboanga, just like all other areas in the country were originally set October 28, but was moved to Nov. 25 due to the 23-day crisis last September as per Comelec resolution.

The same special election was held yesterday in Bohol where a powerful earthquake struck and devastated most of the province.

A Tugbungan incumbent candidate remarked that at last election was happening yesterday and  the voters were able to cast their votes.
