Anti-narcotics agents have arrested the most wanted person in this city engaged in drug trade following a buy bust operation Friday.

Felimon Ruiz, regional director of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM), identified the arrested suspect as Zailanie Bagundang alias Joko, 33, and resident of Barangay Bagua 2, this city.

Bagundang was arrested while vending five sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride at the vicinity of a hotel and convention center along Quezon Avenue.

One of the PDEA agents posed as buyer and the moment Bagundang handed over the stuff and received the marked money, agents immediately collared her.

She did not resist arrest but denied she was into illegal drugs trade. She told police investigators that a friend asked her to deliver a package to a person she would be meeting near the hotel.

The confiscated stuff was estimated to be costing P15,000, according to PDEA agents.

Bagundang is now detained at the PDEA-ARMM detention cell while charges of violations of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell), Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were readied against her.
