The Tugbungan Elementary School has acquired seven brand new desktop computers and a printer using the P100,000 given to the school by Mandaluyong Mayor Benhur Abalos.

The seven computers were distributed to kindergarten and grade school students.

The computers were properly distributed by TES principal Innocente Saavedra to the different grade levels. He was assisted by Councilor Mike Alavar III during a simple ceremony last week.

Abalos donated the P100,000 to the school throught the effort of Grade 5 adviser Mrs. Grace Alvarez during his recent visit in this city after the Zamboanga siege.

Alavar, whose top priorities include education lauded Alvarez for her efforts in finding donors to help the school in upgrading its teaching standard.

Aside from being a good teacher at the Tugubungan Elementary School, Alvarez is helping the school find donors to upgrade its learning facilities.

The Tugbungan Elementary School became a part of the “Let’s start with ABC”, a project of Mr. Norbert Holter from Germany.

Saavedra, Alvarez and other teachers with their pupils expressed gratitude to Abalos and Paolo Trinidad for their concern to the school.

Abalos also pledged to donate a school building to the Sta. Barbara Elementary School. – Dan Toribio Jr.
