Bandits operating in Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte robbed residents of agricultural products and livestocks the other day.

A police report disclosed that eight armed men arrived in Barangay Sas Gutalac around 7 p.m. and robbed the residents at gunpoint.

Police said that the bandits armed with 12 gauge shotguns and carbine rifles threatened to kill the villagers if they won’t give what they were demanding.

It was learned that the gunmen took the residents’ newly harvested agricultural products such as corn, banana and rubber and livestocks.

The gunmen fled towards the hinterland with the loot.

Police said that four of the gunmen were identified as certain Jackaria, Macarama, Mobin and Eti. They are believed to be residents of nearby Titay municipality. — Dan Toribio Jr.
