Police Regional Office 9 Director Chief Supt. Elpidio Z. De Asis Jr. led policemen last Tuesday on the blessing and  inauguration of a new police station building  in the municipality Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

The event coincided with the celebration of the town’s anniversary.
Gracing the inauguration were Director Felisicimo Khu Jr., chief of the  Directorate for Integrated Police Operation Western Mindanao Command, Mahayag Mayor Loran Espina, Board Members Rogelio Saniel and Mondante and Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office Director Sr. Supt. Jose Bayani Gucela.
Director Khu donated a new computer set to the police station.

De Asis said the new building is worth P4.95 million. He also issued two shotguns and four 9 mm pistols to the town’s policemen and directed them to take good care of the building and maintain it well to make it the show window of the Philippine National Police.

“Do your duties and mission with utmost respect and courtesy in the performance and service to the people. Work closely with the local leaders and other agencies of the government,” De Asis told the Mahayag police in his message.

Meanwhile, Japan Embassy’s First Secretary Ryuzo Tsurushiro will  pay a courtesy call on De Asis  at Camp Abendan today at 10 a.m. — Allen Abastillas
