PNP troopers intensify security measures in ZC PDF Print E-mail

The PNP’s Zamboanga City Public Safety Company (ZCPSC) has intensified its security measures in connection with the yuletide  season.

Supt. William  S. Gadayan, ZCPSC chief, said that police troopers under him will not have a Christmas and New Years break as they are  on full alert status and tasked to guard the yuletide  activities in this city in coordination with other law enforcers.

Gadayan that ZCPSC troopers will be busy guarding the different areas where people converge like churches where the “Simbang Gabi” and Mesa de Gallo are held starting yesterday up to Christmas Eve.

He said he  expects during the Holiday Season here heavy influx of people, including tourists, visitors and guests from the different places in  the region, other parts of the country and abroad either for shopping, vacation or reunion with relatives and friends.

Gadayan said he observed that local malls and department stores city are now becoming very busy because many people are shopping, buying grocery items, foodstuff, clothes and gifts, taking  advantage of the Holiday discounts and promos. — Allen Abastillas
