Ex-con nabbed after robbing balut vendor PDF Print E-mail

An ex-convict was arrested after he tried to stab and rob a balut vendor at Zone 1, Cawit last Saturday night.

Arsaid Lukman y Jalalun, 30, was arrested by men of the Ayala Police Station during a case follow-up operation.

A police report disclosed that Marjon Cerinio y Esconde, 37, was selling balut” around 6:30 p.m. at Zone 1, Cawit when Lukman appeared and ordered him four pieces. Cerinio asked him for the payment but instead of paying, Lukman drew a bolo and announced a holdup.

Cerinio ran for his safety, but Lukman chased and attacked him but the bolo blow missed.

The incident was reported to the Ayala Police Station and policemen conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of Lukman.

Policemen recovered from Lukman’s possession a 24-inch long bolo.
