The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is set to hold its 30th biennial national convention this month to elect new officers to compose the PRC National Board of Governors as well as to discuss other important matters.

PRC-Zamboanga City Chapter Victor Liozo, Jr. said the convention is scheduled to be held from January 27 to 29 this year in Manila.

Liozo said the convention will be attended by the administrators and board of directors of the PRC’s 98 chapters in the country.

The two-day event is anchored in the theme “A Nation of Volunteers Strengthening PRC Service on the ground through Red Cross 143,” Liozo said.

He said that PRC Chairman Richard Gordon will also present his annual report during the convention as well as accomplishment reports of the different chapters and treasurers report aside from the election of the board of governors.

The PRC-Zamboanga City chapter has 10 voting delegates for the board of governors. — RGAAG
