Cop, 4 others tagged as behind Tabuk gun attack PDF Print E-mail

Police have forwarded to the city prosecutor office a murder and attempted murder case against a policeman and his five relatives and companions in connection with a gun attack that killed an evacuee from Rio Hondo in Baliwasan Tabuk the other night.

Charged were PO1 Aulbrazer Iskan y Alahak, Saddam Iskan, Bawang Iskan, Ricky Mandangan and Faisal Mandangan, all are still at large.

Iskan and his companion were tagged as the gunmen who shot and killed Abukhair Tahir, an evacuee from Rio Hondo and was temporarily residing in Baliwasan Tabuk. Two other persons were hit by stray bullets in the same gun attack which took place around 9 p.m.last January 5.  They were Ismael Johaini and Husna Nasiri,

Tahir died with multiple bullet wounds in the body while Johaini and Nasiri  sustained bullet wounds in their legs.

The identities of Iskan and his companions cropped during a thorough investigation of the gun attack.

Before the gun attack in Baliwasan Tabuk, two hours earlier,  Abdurasid Iskan, a member of the Philippine Coast Guard was shot dead by a gunman in front his family while they were alighting from their family vehicle along Don Toribio Street, Tetuan.

Iskan’s 6-year-old daughter was wounded in that gun attack.

Iskan and his family are residents of Rio Hondo and were residing temporarily in Don Toribio Street in Tetuan after their house in Rio Hondo burned during the September siege.

Police were looking into revenge as the motive behind the gun attack in Baliwasan Tabuk as the suspects were relatives of Iskan who was gunned down in Tetuan. – Dan Toribio Jr.
