The Tetuan police are investigating the case of a missing person who disappeared after going to the market in Guiwan to buy fish last Monday.

Mrs. Nonita Bautista, 60, a resident of Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay, appeared at the Tetuan Police Station and reported that his son, Joselito Bautista, 34, married, residing at 1128-D Don Toribio Street, Tetuan went missing around 5 p.m. after going to the Guiwan flea market to buy fish for their dinner.
The mother became worried after failing to contact her son through cellular phone. She told the police that her son’s phone was off when they tried to call him several times.

According to Mrs. Bautista, her son married a widow sometime in November 2010. The woman’s relatives by affinity were not in favor of the marriage because the properties of her and late husband were not properly settled.

The Tetuan police were still gathering more information that would lead to the recovery of Bautista. — Dan Toribio Jr.
