Ms. Aminah Kunting, a college student of Western Mindanao State University, won 1st place in the first ever elocution contest on peace sponsored by the Silsilah Dialogue Movement, held last Jan. 30, 2014 at Sophia Hall, Claret School, Zamboanga City.

The piece entitled “I Speak for Peace”, was used by all four competing schools and each contestant was judged according to eloquence and excellence of interpretation. The three other competing schools were Pilar College, Immaculate Conception Archdiocesan School, and Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology.

The Board of Judges was composed of Mr. Mohammad Nur Adjihil, Atty. Cesar Jimenez, and Linda C. Espinosa as chair of the board.

The coach of the winning contestant is Prof. Expedito Malbago of WMSU.
