Investigators of the Sta. Maria police station are looking deeper into two holdup incidents that took place under their areas of jurisdiction the other day.

Alvin Macrohon y Saavedra, 54, of Zone 3, San Roque was held-up by three men who divested him of P5,000 and fled aboard a motorcycle.

Investigation disclosed that Macrohon was delivering softdrinks in San Roque when two men appeared and announced heist at gunpoint.

The gunmen grabbed his clutch bag containing the said amount and sped away.

Macrohom was with two truck helpers when the holdup happened.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Rajeev Jibay, 28, a medical student of Ateneo de Zamboanga University and a resident of Gov. Camins Avenue was held-up by two men who robbed him of his P5,400 cash and fled aboard a motorcycle.

The holdup took place along Maestra Vicenta St., Sta. Maria the other day around 4:30 a.m. when his Toyota Vios suffered a flat tire. Two men aboard a motorcycle appeared and one of them pointed a gun at him and asked for his valuables. The holduppers took the Jibay’s Asus Laptop worth P36,000, Acer memo pad worth P6,000, liftman stethoscope, wallet containing P5,400 and several documents. – Dan Toribio Jr.
