2 hurt in Sulu clash PDF Print E-mail

Two members of a Barangay Peace Action Team in Talipao. Sulu were wounded in a gunbattle with Abu Sayyaf gunmen last Saturday afternoon.

Wounded were Niko Minuddin, 22, and Sabor Sasapan. They were brought to Zamboanga City and were confined at the Ciudad Medical Zamboanga.

A police report disclosed that Minuddin sustained bullet wounds in both legs while Sasapan was shot in the lower abdomen.

The report said that soldiers and para-military forces under 2nd Marine Batallion led by 2Lt. Col. Romulo Quimado were on a military operation against Abu Sayyaf bandits in Mahabahay, Talipao, Sulu where a firefight broke out.
