A businessman was shot and killed by one of two gunmen in Balisawan Seaside in another gun attack last Saturday afternoon.

Hussin Naama y Ibrahim sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

The gunmen escaped aboard a get-away motorcycle.

A police report disclosed that Naama had just come from Tres Marias Wharf around 5:40 p.m. and while he was crossing the street to board a jeepney two gunmen appeared and one of them shot him several times.

The assailants then boarded a motorcycle driven by his cohort and sped westward.

Soldiers of the Task Force Zamboanga stationed in the area chased the killers but the latter disappeared amid the many motorists on the road.

Recovered from the crime scene were three spent shells and two slugs of .45 caliber pistol.

Naama’s body was claimed by his relatives for burial services after the post mortem examination.

Police were still working on the case. —  Dan Toribio Jr.
