A self-employed man was arrested in a police entrapment operation inside a pension house room where he brought a 17-year-old girl whom he blackmailed to have sex with him.

Arrested was Ian Flores, a native of Lamitan City, Basilan.

Flores was nabbed by policemen inside the room together with the girl-complainant at a pension house along Crispin Atilano St., Tetuan around 5 p.m.

Police said the girl had appeared at the city police office to file a complaint against Flores for allegedly raping her last week and for blackmailing her.

The complainant told investigators that she and Flores met through facebook social network.

The girl said she was invited by Flores to join him in his business as he claimed he was scouting for local talents/models.

Last week the girl met Flores in a motel at Canelar Moret where she was allegedly raped.

According to the girl, after their first encounter, Flores continued on communicating her and inviting her for sex.

However the girl refused, but Flores threatened to upload in the internet a video clip he secretly took when she was with him in the motel in Canelar Moret.

It was learned that while Flores was allegedly raping her, he set up a video camera that recorded their activity in bed.

Afraid  of  Flores’ threat, the girl sought the assistance of the police and an entrapment operation was planned to arrest Flores.

Last Monday, Flores asked the girl for another meeting inside a motel.

They met along Gov. Camins Avenue and boarded a tricycle that took them to a pension house in Tetuan.

Flores did not know that he together with the girl was being tailed by policemen.

When Flores and the girl were inside the room, police operatives entered and arrested Flores.

Recovered from Flores’ possession were P4,000 suspected fake bills, personal belongings, laptop computer and a compact disc containing the video clip of their first encounter at a motel in Canelar Moret.

Flores was detained at the city police office pending the filing of charges against him in court. – Dan Toribio Jr.
